Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry Wins Leadership Award

The Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry received the 2026 Conference of State Manufacturers Associations Leadership Award at the Conference’s annual meeting this week, the NAM announced.

  • COSMA’s members serve as official state partners of the NAM, focusing on manufacturing priorities at the state level, while elevating federal policy from the ground up in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
  • The award recognizes an association for its outstanding advocacy, organizational excellence, innovation, industry promotion and growth over the previous year.

The track record: The Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry earned this year’s distinction for its first-in-the-nation success in working with the Environmental Protection Agency to grant regulatory relief for the Phoenix–Mesa area requirements that would have been imposed because of transboundary air pollution that undermined manufacturers’ efforts to curb harmful emissions.

  • “The Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry has blazed a trail for all manufacturers by helping the EPA align federal policy with scientific reality and pragmatic solutions,” said New Jersey Business & Industry Association President and CEO and COSMA Chair Michele Siekerka. “Thanks to their leadership, manufacturers in other states have a replicable playbook for collaborative and effective advocacy.”

The NAM says: “[Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry President and CEO] Danny Seiden exemplifies the best of manufacturing association leadership in the United States,” said NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons.

  • “By leading with integrity, focusing on bipartisan solutions and delivering an impact across our sector and the communities we serve, Danny has earned wide respect not only from the business community but lawmakers of both parties and at all levels. At the NAM, we are fortunate to count on Danny as a partner, effective advocacy strategist and counselor in our shared work to help manufacturers across the nation compete, grow and thrive.”

The honoree says: “We’re grateful to COSMA and the NAM for this recognition. It means even more coming from organizations that understand the work it takes to support a strong manufacturing sector,” said Seiden.

  • “This award reflects the effort of our entire team, our members and the partners who have worked alongside us, whether we were taking on federal air-quality policy, building public support for new investment or advancing the infrastructure Arizona’s economy needs to grow. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together and honored to have that work recognized nationally.”

The NAM congratulates Seiden and the entire Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry team on this well-deserved award!
