NAM Marks America’s 250th
As the nation comes off celebrating this historic anniversary, the NAM shared two commemorative video tributes, co-branded with America250, honoring 250 years of American strength and the essential role manufacturers have always played in moving our country forward. One featured a message from NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons and the other message came from the NAM.
- As Timmons put it, “The American story has always belonged to the makers, the builders, the innovators and the problem solvers. And it’s because of them that America’s greatest chapters are still to be written.”
- Both NAM-produced videos feature America250, the bipartisan initiative for the 250th celebration. America250 named the NAM one of its official partners and supported its 2026 NAM State of Manufacturing Tour back in February, including a historic stop in Philadelphia.
- During that Philadelphia visit, NAM leaders and local manufacturers convened at Carpenters’ Hall, where several of the Founding Fathers gathered during the First Continental Congress in 1774. The NAM unveiled the “Manufacturers’ Accord for the Next 250 Years”—a declaration of principles from manufacturers to strengthen our economy, expand opportunity and build an even stronger America for generations to come.
