This December, manufacturing and innovation executives will be discussing a crucial element of the industry’s future: how AI will revolutionize everything from R&D to factory operations to workforce management.

What’s going on: The Innovation Research Interchange and the Manufacturing Leadership Council (the NAM’s innovation and digital transformation divisions, respectively) are teaming up to present a world-class array of manufacturing expertise in Orlando, Florida. These events will help industry leaders prepare for the road ahead and forge connections with their peers.

• Innovating the Future (Dec. 3–4): Hosted by the IRI, this event will help R&D leaders prepare concrete plans for adjusting to uncertain futures. Highlights include a session on AI and innovation by leaders in the construction materials and pet care industries, an interactive session on the “Labs of the Future” and how AI will reshape them and multiple sessions on how new innovations will transform sustainability.
• Future of Manufacturing: AI-Centric Factories of the Future (Dec. 4–5): This MLC event will explore how AI is transforming leadership strategies, factory operations, workforce dynamics and overall manufacturing performance. Sessions will include a case study on integrating AI into the product lifecycle, a panel on AI’s influence on decision-making and a discussion of its role in achieving autonomous operations.
