Making the NAM more of a “one-stop shop” for manufacturers, the Innovation Research Interchange, a leader in helping companies develop cutting-edge technologies to keep manufacturing strong, has joined the organization, NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons announced. CEO Update was first out with the news.

Innovation to serve the industry: “The modern association must constantly innovate and evolve to best serve its industry, and with the addition of the Innovation Research Interchange, NAM members will have access to the widest array of expertise and services in the history of the association,” Timmons said.

• “With this transformational development, the NAM and our industry will benefit from world-class R&D thought leadership and the proven strategies that the IRI has perfected. The IRI will continue to support organizations in their mission to drive innovation, and it will enjoy access to the largest network of manufacturing companies and leaders.”
• IRI President Ed Bernstein will continue to lead the organization’s day-to-day operations as vice president and executive director at the NAM.

Into the fold: In coming under the NAM umbrella, the IRI joins The Manufacturing Institute, the NAM’s workforce development and education partner, as well as the Manufacturing Leadership Council, the NAM’s global business leadership network for manufacturing executives to strengthen the resources available to manufacturers to create the future of the industry.
