Top NAM Trade Adviser Recruited to Private Sector

Washington, D.C. – National Association of Manufacturers President and CEO Jay Timmons released the following statement announcing the departure of NAM Vice President of International Economic Affairs Linda Dempsey:

“For more than seven years, Linda Dempsey has been front and center in the most consequential trade policy fights on behalf of manufacturers in America. We began this new year with trade policy accomplishments that were once unimaginable: the U.S.–Mexico–Canada Agreement, the ‘phase one’ China deal and its amazingly strong intellectual property protection and an Export-Import Bank that is not only fully functional but also reauthorized for seven years. No one deserves more credit for these accomplishments than Linda, and I’m thankful she’ll still be working closely with manufacturers in America.”
